Introduction

The In addition to forms containing the metadata of a DMS object, a preview of binary content files uses the VIEWER Service and the binary content file assigned to it can be displayed. In a client application based on our developer libraries, the content preview is retrieved either via the VIEWER Service or PDF renditions.

It is also possible to compare those previews for two different binary content files - either belonging .  They can either belong to two different DMS objects or to two different versions of the same object.

Supported Formats

If the VIEWER service supports the format of the corresponding The content preview can be displayed if the file type of the binary content file , it

• If the format is not supported by the VIEWER service,

• a PDF rendition is requested and displayed if the format is supported.

  Note: A PDF rendition can only be retrieved
