Updates

• Business value: keeping the system future-proofed

• Most of the Microservices are updated to Spring Boot 3.2.5.
  This change has been brought to version 9.16 LTS too.

Microservices

• Hot Deployment

  • Business value: increased productivity, reduced administration effort

  • The service-manager setup offers Hot Deployment of the managed services. This means that if only the managed services have to be updated, it is no longer necessary to stop the service-manager first. So there is no real downtime in this case. The administrator is informed whether the service must be stopped or not.

• Extraction-Service supports XRechnung/Factur-x

  • Business value: Support of e-invoicing regulations in Germany, only header data

  • Data extraction of XRechnung files: The extraction-service supports e-invoices of the format XRechnung version 3.0.1 in the syntax UN/CEFACT.
    Remark: The syntax UBL will be supported with one of the next yuuvis RAD versions.
    XRechnung is compliant with the European Union standard EN 16931 and adds specific custom attributes for the exchange of e-invoices in Germany. For more information see the German FAQ platform: https://www.e-rechnung-bund.de/faq/xrechnung/
    The alternative to XRechnung is ZUGFeRD 2.2.0, which is supported by yuuvis RAD since version 9.0.
    
    But better: Our solution for importing invoices in this XML format is to use the capture software of our partner Insiders which can extract all invoice data including table data and render a human-viewable PDF document.

• Localization

  • Business value: reduced administration effort

  • Localizing the system and template metadata on the client side is possible.

• Extension of the Summary

  • Business value: increased productivity, reduced clicks

  • In the object details aspect Summary, the context fields of the folder are shown.

    • The unfolded state of the accordions is remembered.

Management-Studio

• Process model is visualized

• Current state of a process instance is visualized

  • Business value: reduced administration effort

Workflow

• Users can be excluded from participating in a process activity

  • Business rules may impose limitations on participation of users on certain activities. The decision logic on who can participate (or not) may be highly dynamic and cannot be covered by structural assignment to roles or groups. In addition, the restrictions also apply to user substitution. A typical example is invoice processing, where larger amounts have to be approved by two different users who usually come from the same role or group, and who often act as substitutes for each other (coming from the same team).

  • Business value: considerably faster development of such use cases

Quality of Life Improvements for Developers and Administrators

• Various small improvements that reduce the effort needed to implement features, or that reduce the chance of errors in development. For instance:

  • done() and save() are no longer needed to persist the process-state-changes made in event-scripts

  • Faster loading times of various views in the designer

  • Reactivated users are removed from the inactive group after user-synchronization

• Business value: easier development of new solutions and administration of existing systems
