Making the System Future-proof (Martin, 5 mins)

• The system is released for Windows Server 2022 and SQLServer 2022.

• The PostgresSQL database versions 14 and 15 are supported.

• The core-service is based on Wildfly Application Service version 27.

• The full-text search is based on Elasticsearch 7.17.8.

• The microservice infrastructure is based on JDK 17. Most of the services are compiled for this version. All services are based on Spring Boot 2.7.8/2.7.9.
  Breaking Change: All custom services have to be updated to run in JDK 17.

yuuvis® RAD core-service (Martin, 5 mins)

• The logging of critical system events has been improved to support administrators in analyzing security issues of environments with more hacking risks like the cloud.

  • This capability can be enabled/disabled in yuuvis® RAD management-studio.

  • The log is additionally written into a database and the logged events can be read by REST endpoints.

  • An Organization operation supports the periodical cleaning.

  • The system monitoring in the REST-WS interface shows the last events with their details.

yuuvis® RAD extraction-service (Martin, 5 mins)

• The e-invoices format ZUGFeRD 2.2 is supported (implemented for 8.16 LTS as well).

• Plug-in capability: The service can easily be extended with custom plug-ins if data of other formats than the supported ones need to be extracted, e.g., keys from 7z archive files as supported for zip-ones, or to extract x-invoice (XRechnung).

yuuvis® RAD client (Martin, 15 mins)

The focus was on higher productivity:

• Reuse of the yuuvis® Momentum viewer-service:

  • The amount of client code is reduced so that yuuvis® RAD client needs less time to load.

  • PDF.js was updated.

  • Support of msg-formatted e-mails (no rendition is necessary).

  • More custom components can be added that render not yet-supported file formats such as CAD.

  • Breaking Change: When updating, this new service has to be added to the gateway configuration.

  • Support of ranging: The preview loads larger files of type PDF, video, and audio much quicker and with less data, because it uses the new ranging feature of the yuuvis® RAD core-service and yuuvis® RAD rendition-service.

• Search: The header of the result list shows the name of the used saved search. If a search form was configured a button is offered to open it again for repeating the search with changed values.

• The CSV export of result lists can be forced to resolve user and reference IDs.

• Result list columns can be aligned as well as form table columns (see the topic on yuuvis® RAD designer below).

• A new icon in the object details indicates that a file is shared.

• Users can upload their profile images.

yuuvis® RAD management-studio (Martin, 6 min)

• Administrators can return accepted tasks of a user so that other users of the assigned role can take over.

• yuuvis® RAD management-studio 10 is coming: migration from AngularJS Framework to Angular reusing client core library → support of OEM capabilities and custom localization

yuuvis® RAD core-service and yuuvis® RAD designer (Bratislav,  10 mins)

• New type for fields: Set of elements.

• Form table columns can be aligned.

• Object types can be derived from more than one abstract type.

• Breaking change: Binary fields are no longer supported in the schema (they were deprecated in version 7.0)

yuuvis® Momentum 2023 Spring/Summer

• A high-contrast theme can be used for better accessibility.

• The CSV export of metadata supports the BOM format, allowing an easy import to MS Excel.

The documentation for the upcoming 9.0 release of yuuvis® RAD will be available in German in the beginning of April. The English translation will follow a few weeks later.
